PREVIOUS SOLO EXHIBITION at 108 Fine Art October 2004		Christopher P Wood (Born 1961) Born in Leeds in 1961 Christopher P Wood studied art locally before attending a post graduate fine art course at Chelsea College of Art, where he was considered to be one of their most promising students. Since then he has worked from his studio in North Leeds quietly developing his reputation as an artist of International standing. Wood’s earliest work owes much to the influences of early Italian and Netherlandish landscape paintings, although over the past ten years his rich, luminous dream like landscapes have captured a far more personal vision. In 2008 Agnews Fine Art, London hosted a major solo exhibition of his work. Other major solo exhibitions have been held at The Piccadilly Gallery, Goldmark Fine Art, The Mercer Gallery Harrogate, Rebecca Hossack Gallery London, Michael Carr Fine Art, Sydney. His work is held in many public and private collections including Harrogate Art Gallery, Leeds City Council, Oldham Art Gallery, Preston Art Gallery, The Unilever Collection.
