Brian Fojcik

Born in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Brian studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, 1979-1984. He has won numerous awards including the John Milne Prize in Painting, and The Maude Gemmell Hutchison Prize (Royal Scottish Academy Exhibition Award 1992). His work is held in the collections of The Scottish Arts Council, THe Fleming Collection, Kirkcaldy Art Gallery, and in numerous private collections in the USA and Europe.

The artists most recent works are the result of a visit to Poland, where he spent several weeks travelling by bike through the remote countryside. His wonderful large scale drawings of Polish farm workers were exhibited at 108 Fine Art in 2006.
