DUDLEY EDWARDS

Born in Halifax in 1944 Edwards co-founded BEV in the mid 1960s and his work with the group helped define the era. Their inspired psychedelic murals appeared everywhere from the boutiques of Kings Road and Carnaby Street to Paul McCartney's 'magic piano'. BEV were also renowned for their pioneering light shows including 'The Million Volt Light and Sound Rave' and the legendary '14 Hour Technicolour Dream' at Alexandra Palace. Represented by the Robert Frazer Gallery in the sixties, Edwards has exhibited internationally at The Kunsthalle Vienna, The Musee d'Histoire Contemporaine, Paris, and The Whitney Museum of Art in New York.
